Arc To Develop Game Changing Dual Motor System


Arc - makers of the worlds most advanced electric motorcycle, have recently been awarded funding from the UK Government to develop an innovative new dual motor system with integrated inverter for electric motorcycles.

Codenamed HiPERMOD, this dual motor system will increase performance whilst reducing weight as well as increasing efficiency allowing further mass reduction from the battery. The modular system will facilitate numerous motor configurations allowing Arc to utilise the same two base motors across a multitude of new motorcycles and beyond.

Arc in collaboration with its technology partner Talos Technology will develop the system over the next 2 years for release on new Arc motorcycle projects due for release in 2026. The development will be supported and co-funded by the UK government’s Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), via Innovate UK. This exciting development will drive innovation, capability, and new intellectual property, enhancing the credibility and profile of British industry and design.

This new collaboration will combine Arc’s reputation for developing the most exciting innovations in the motorcycle world with Talos's advanced powertrain technology capability to generate technological innovation for future electric motorcycles.
